Catherine Thomas
Catherine Thomas, a retired lawyer from Morganton, NC, fulfilled her dream of opening a fine dining establishment in Blowing Rock. Along with Kyle and Sunshine, she created a French Mediterranean experience in the High Country of NC.
Catherine is also a proud mother of three boys, one daughter, and grandmother to four grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys traveling abroad and tending to her two dogs and two cats.
Kyle Martin
Meet Kyle Martin, a culinary expert with a passion for good food. From his early days in Greenville & Greensboro, NC, he loved going out to eat with his family. At 16, he started his first kitchen job and went on to attend culinary school where he met his wife, Sunshine. After interning at Artisanal in Banner Elk, they both worked at Gamekeeper and then moved to Wilmington, NC, where Kyle worked at Manna & Surfhouse. Now, Kyle is excited to bring his talent for cooking seafood and working sustainably with farmers to the High Country, where he'll be introducing French Mediterranean cuisine to Blowing Rock.
Sunshine Martin
Sunshine's passion for baking started at a young age, working at the Mercantile and running her own birthday cake business. After attending culinary school, she gained experience at various restaurants including Artisanal & The Gamekeeper. Eventually, she settled in Wilmington where she managed several establishments including 9 Bakery & Lounge, Tower 7, and helped open Love, Lydia Bakery. Today, Sunshine combines her past experiences as the general manager, wine expert, event planner and baker at Tout Suite.

Firstborn daughter of Kyle & Sunshine Martin and namesake of our resturant.
