A little out-of-the-way and a bit small and quirky, Café Violette was conceived to be a respite from the typical “fine” restaurant.  Folks familiar with the old “Kojay’s” coffee shop are often stunned at the transformation of the interior space, and many comment that it reminds them of cherished bistros, cafes and brasseries in Europe.

Rather than white linen and soft music, Café Violette provides an unconventional atmosphere – leather tablecloths, live edge bars and banquette and bar seating.  You’ll find attentive waitstaff, creative food and drink and a cozy atmosphere. What you might not find on some nights is a seat – due to the petite size of the dining areas, the restaurant is limited to 8 tables.* Part of Violette’s charm is outdoor porch seating that faces Main Street.  Sitting on the porch is a great opportunity to “people watch” while experiencing some of the best food in the High Country.

*Although you’re welcome to drop in and see if a table or bar stool is available without a reservation, note that your best bet to get a seat – any seat – is to make a reservation online (see “Reservations” above) or call us at the restaurant. While we do our best to accommodate everyone’s desires, keep in mind the tiny size of our space!
